The Ford Mustang has been officially on sale in Europe for almost two years in coupe, and latterly in convertible form as well. Now German tuner, Stoffler Tuning has got together with JMS Fahrzeugteile to give the latest version of this American legend an individual touch.
The project car, based on the powerful V8-powered Mustang convertible, instantly attracts and impresses as its clear dynamic lines have been further emphasised by the bespoke Stoffler body styling kit. The lip for the factory front spoiler (329 euro) gives the nose a lower more ground hugging appearance. The alternative is a new front bumper section with a deeper integrated front spoiler for 499 euro.
Contoured side skirts (529 euro) visually link the more aggressive front to the business end where a rear underbody diffuser is flanked by a sport exhaust system (2,390 euro) with two pairs of twin outlets. The body kit and exhaust carry full TUV approval.
A set of five twin-spoke Barracuda Racing Wheels ‘Shoxx’ alloy wheels in 9.0 and 10.5×20-inch, and shod with 255/35R20 and 275/35R20 tyres fill out the wheel arches perfectly using 5 mm spacers. Their Matt-Black finish is a sharp contrast to the Mustang’s yellow paintwork, yet a perfect match for the black soft top. This TUV certified wheel and tyre set costs 2,649 euro.
Improving the chassis driving dynamics of this V8-powered wild horse, Stoffler offer a fully adjustable KW coilover suspension (1,899 euro), which lowers the factory ride height by up to 50 mm in front and 40 mm at the rear.
